One Box is a subscription service, however we offer the option to purchase non-subscription boxes. Our ethos is about making it easy for you to cook authentic tasty classic Caribbean meals from scratch, on a regular basis. The subscription is weekly, however this can be cancelled and reinstated at any time.

We are passionate about making it easier for you cook tasty authentic Caribbean meals without visiting multiple stores to purchase your ingredients; our subscription service removes the stresses of meal planning and shopping.

Do you offer one off orders?

Yes we do!

We understanding a subscription service is not suited to everyone, therefore you can purchase ‘Non-subscription’ boxes.

However, should you choose to subscribe to our weekly service, the subscription can be cancelled and reinstated at any time.

What are you doing to help reduce food waste?

West Indian dishes are very filling and satisfying. In ordering your meals in advance, we are able to source and provide exactly what you need to cook your meals.

Can I recycle my packaging?

We are continuously looking at how we can reduce waste as a business while ensuring our food reaches our customers in the best condition possible. The cardboard box you receive is recyclable. The wool fleece is recyclable, compostable and reusable and the liners are recyclable. The ice packs are recyclable so they can be recycled or reused.

How are the products kept cool?

Using our recyclable, compostable and re-usable Wool fleece liners and reusable Ice Packs.

One Box Sizes

Each box currently contains all the exact ingredients for 2 authentic delicious Caribbean meals for your family each week.

Your One Box will include the fresh ingredients and easy step-by-step recipe cards.

We are currently working on increasing the meal options to 3 or 4 per week.

Do you offer One Box for one?

We currently do not offer One Box for one. However, we do have single person household customers.

 Simply choose a 2 meal plan for 2 people and tuck into your left overs the next day or later on in the week! So nice, you can eat it twice! Or invite a friend over and share the One Box love!

Do you offer vegetarian/vegan options?

Yes we do. When you are placing your order have a look at our highlighted vegan dishes. If you are a flexiterian, you can flex your selection when building your box.

What comes in my One Box?

You will receive:

  • Step by step, photographed recipe cards,
  • Wool fleece liners with ice packs containing all your meat
  • Individually portioned out ingredients.
Do I need to have ingredients at home?

Yes!  The only ingredients you need at home as they are not provided in your One Box are;

  • Cooking oil
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sugar
  • Water

Where can I find a list of allergens?

We have a number of recipes that could potentially contain an allergen. Ingredients are stored separately in order to minimise cross contamination.

One Box do not offer specific allergy preferences, however we do list all of the allergens on our recipe sheets, and on the website under the recipe.

 We highlight specific ingredients that contain one or more of the 8 major allergens. 

We leave it to our customers to review the ingredients and determine which recipes best suite their dietary needs. 

How do I know my order has gone through?

You will receive a welcome and confirmation email shortly after you’ve completed subscribing to One Box Meals.

The email will confirm you have subscribed. It will confirm your username and details on how to change your password. You will also receive an email confirming we have received your order. Once you have selected your 2 meals options, you will receive an email confirming your order number.

If you cannot see your email, please check your junk or spam.

How does One Box hold my data?

To enable you to order from us once you have subscribed you will have a personal account with created. In order to protect your account from access by third parties, we store your user name and password, making your account accessible by you only with your login details.

In order for you to receive your One Box delivery, we store your contact data, payment information, your order details and delivery time. You can voluntarily provide your phone number so that we can contact you in case of delays or problems when delivering your box.

Are my payment details secure?

Yes they are. Your details are securely stored on your One Box personal account, so we can process a payment.

If you have chosen to use a card to pay (you can use PayPal as your payment method) for your boxes your details are hidden, with only the last four digits visible to yourself and our Customer Service Team.

 

When will I be charged?

We take the payment for your first order as soon as you sign up. You will then be automatically charged every 7-days, unless you cancel.

Weekly payments are taken directly from your card, so if you replace your card, don’t forget to update it on your account.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all payment cards: VISA, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express.

How to cancel your subscription

We would hate to see you go, however should you wish to cancel your subscription please ensure this is done by 11:00 pm on Saturday if your delivery day is a Wednesday and 11pm on Monday if your delivery day is a Friday.

Remember your subscription can be cancelled and reinstated at any time. 

I forgot to cancel my box - what do I do?

Our deadlines to cancel your One Box are, by 11:00 pm on Saturday if your delivery day is a Wednesday and 11pm on Monday if your delivery day is a Friday.

Unfortunately, if you have missed the applicable deadline we will be unable to cancel your box as we only order the exact amount of produce to send for each meal. Hopefully you can gift this box to a neighbour, friend or family member.

Is there a deadline for making changes to my order?

All changes are to be made by 11:00 pm on Saturday if your delivery day is a Wednesday and 11pm on Monday if your delivery day is a Friday

What if I'm not home for my delivery?

Don’t worry!

You do not need to sign for your delivery. Our delivery drivers will simply leave the box, following the leave safe instructions that you have specified.

 Your One Box contains special insulation and ice packs to keep your produce fresh, just make sure you pop the refrigerated ingredients and any veggies you do not intend on using straight away in the fridge as soon as you get to your package.

When will my box be delivered?

Your box will be delivered on the day specified on your account (either a Wednesday or Friday).

Our standard delivery time slot is between 08:00 and 19:00.

You will receive a one hour delivery time slot on the day of your delivery.

 

I think I’ve received the wrong order…

Please check the recipe cards you have match the meal choices you selected. All our boxes are packed by hand so occasionally there maybe a human error. If the recipe card is incorrect but the items you have received are correct, you can log into to your account and locate the recipe and instructions under the recipe tab.

Where is my box?

Our delivery window is 8am to 7pm. You may not receive your box at the same time of the day every week.

DPD will send you tracking information on the morning of your delivery day. You can follow the links in these emails to track the status of your delivery.

If your delivery window has passed and you still have not received your box, please contact our customer service team who can chase it up for you. 

Why does my chicken smell funny?

Chicken having an unusual smell can seem concerning, however it may be due to our chicken being vacuum packaged rather than the chicken itself. 

Your chicken is vacuum-sealed to keep it fresh. During this process, some oxygen is removed from the packaging to preserve the quality. This can cause a sulphur or “boiled egg” smell when opened. Simply open up the package and allow it to sit for a couple of minutes before cooking. 

Should you still have any concerns about the safety of your chicken do not eat it and please contact our customer care team. 

I have a missing ingredient

First things first: check the entire contents of your box, including the wool fleece liner. The wool fleece liner contains your meat, dairy and prepped veg, so please check it carefully before throwing it away. If you are still unable to find the ingredients, we are so sorry for any inconvenience caused, please do contact us.

My One Box arrived damaged

We are so sorry to hear this! Please take photos and contact us.

Providing photos of the damage is useful for us to see what has gone wrong.
